マーティンエアー Martinair(MP/MPH)
マーティンエアーは、オランダのアムステルダムを拠点とする航空会社です。設立は1958年。J・マーティン・シュレーダー氏と5名の社員、それと1機の航空機でMartin's Air Charter (MAC)を立ち上げたのが最初です。その後1966年に会社名をマーティンエアー・ホラントと変更。1991年には貨物を取り扱うマーティンエアー・カーゴを開始するとともに、社名をマーティンエアーとしました。2007年6月、マーティンエアーはKLMによる完全買収を望んでいる旨を公表しました。その結果、2008年12月17日、欧州委員会はKLMによる完全買収が認められたと発表し、KLMの完全子会社となりました。今後は格安航空会社への道を模索している様です。
Martinair is an airline headquartered on the grounds of Amsterdam,the Netherlands. Its main base is Schiphol Airport.The airline was founded on May 1958 as Martin's Air Charter , by J. Martin Schröder, with one aircraft and five employees.The name was changed to Martinair Holland in 1966. In 1991, the first aircraft with the "Martinair Cargo" name was introduced, and "Holland" was dropped from all aircraft. In June 2007, Martinair announced that it wanted one shareholder, preferably KLM, and in 2008 permission was obtained from the European commission. The transfer of remaining shares took place on 31 December 2008．On 5 February 2009, KLM said it is investigating the option of incorporating Martinair and Transavia, both fully owned by KLM, into the KLM brand. KLM wants to create "classic" and "light" versions of the company, where Martinair would become the light version for intercontinental flights.
